I wonder for how many thousands of years humans have been using animals to do work. There is something they knew. And something that from what I have heard has been recently rediscovered to be true in the modern workplace. Which is that the better you treat your animals or employees, the more work you get out of them. You know, I started a whole thread saying that slavery in the old South was good. That was because the price to buy a slave on the market was very expensive. Basically more money than the average person made in a year. Which is why only wealthy southern plantation owners could afford to buy slaves to work the land.
Thus the narrative of slave owners continually whipping and beating their slaves is false. The owners wanted to keep their slaves healthy and relatively happy. In order to get the most production out of their labor.

This is all most probably entirely true, but at the same time the relationship was that of a slave and an owner.

This relationship has become so outmoded to be completely inappropriate for this day and age. We are all endowed by our creator w/ the inalienable right to quit a job and walk away. Sure, we got exceptions like when the state inducts a draftee, parents and children, convicted criminals and their wardens, etc. etc, but the main theme still holds. Humans are born to freedom and nobody can abridge that.
