Well the only way to absolve it from being a hate crime, is to complete an investigation into it in order to clear it from that accusation, and this must be done in order to find out what the motivation is behind it all. Of course a few whites may have joined in of course, but that doesn't absolve the fact that it may still be race motivated from it's origins. Confession's of those who are prosecuted could be a start into understanding what the motivation is, and why this game was thought of to begin with. We can speculate all we want here, but until the trials of these perps once they are caught is complete or under way, only then will we know if it was driven by hate and/or racism or not.
