So The article's title intrigued me. I thought I was going to see some bullet points, real evidence of a knowledgeable politician talking about the workings of her government. But no, read the article there's only one theme throughout the entire article and that's: resist Trump.

There's no details about what they're resisting. So far I haven't heard a single intelligent argument from the left about the improvement in the illegal border crossings and why it's good for the country.

So far I haven't heard a single intelligent argument from the left about the importance of cutting down the size of bloated government. They want to go slow which means they want to do nothing.

Klobuchar has been on TV criticizing the harm that's being done to federal employees. What about the harm that's being done to the rest of the country by supporting an overbloated and inefficient bureaucracy?

You will notice that there are no details in the argument. Only vague generalizations of orange man bad and fight> fight> fight.

Now that will still work on a large portion of the population but it's beginning to lose its efficacy as more and more people are actually stopping to think about what's happening.

The dems are being set up for a catastrophic midterm. This midterm is not going to follow the pattern that most of them do because from day one the new administration has not dropped the ball even once. The support for the actions being taken continues to grow across party lines.

Soon the only antithetical voices will be a small group of highly concentrated wingers who survive on pure hatred completely devoid of intellect.

Klobuchar needs to confront this challenge directly.

Organize hundreds of thousands of federal employees, union bosses and other activists to have massive rallies against Government Efficiency.
Supporting fraud waste and abuse? Not a good look.

"Press Release from Amy Klobuchar December 28, 2016

WASHINGTON, DC – This week, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar is in Ukraine, the Baltic states, and Georgia to reinforce support for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and to focus on mounting international cybersecurity problems. The bipartisan congressional delegation is being led by Republican Senator John McCain from Arizona, the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and also includes Klobuchar and Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.

“Our allies in eastern Europe, including Ukraine and the Baltic states, deserve our support in the face of Russian aggression,” said Klobuchar. “Senator McCain, Senator Graham, and I are reinforcing our bipartisan commitment to strengthening our NATO alliances and are focused on major cybersecurity breaches which are of utmost importance as we learn of the depth of Russian interference in our recent election.

"The senators are in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Georgia, and Montenegro to meet with U.S., NATO, and other foreign officials. They are meeting with the president and/or prime minister in every nation.

During the trip, the senators will reaffirm a bipartisan commitment to U.S. allies and partners, and discuss topics of importance in the region including the ongoing conflict in Ukraine in which 10,000 people have died since Russia illegally annexed Crimea.

Klobuchar is the incoming ranking member of the U.S Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, which oversees federal elections. She also serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Minnesota has a significant Ukrainian and Eastern European population."

I hope all the Dem leaders keep showing up on The View regularly. That show is an echo chamber full of haters.

The number of bright people in Congress can be counted on one hand.

Hah! I watched her on The view not because I watched the show because I was visiting somebody who was watching it. She doesn't say a single thing of any substance. She's just a blathering idealogue who apparently doesn't know much about anything.

That applies to almost everyone in Congress.

WHY can't the Socialist Demon Rats understand that waste , fraud and abuse is UNacceptable

It's even worse than that....Most of them don't seem to understand anything at all. They are reflex creatures. The Political career of someone like Klobuchar is not marked by accomplishment it is instead marked by empty and loquacious credo expressionism.
While that's fine for a Sunday sermon it is completely useless when it is applied to real world problems in the context of NOW.
Reminds me of Harris'... " Unburdened by what has been " and " Joy " bullshit. Yeah it makes people get all warm and fuzzy just before they hit that " Oh shit " moment when realize that they haven't paid enough attention to the real business of survival and prosperity.

What really is catching the Far Left unaware in 2025 is the idea that an elected official would actually take his promises seriously and take action on them immediately, instead of just continuing to bullshit.

I think what we are now seeing is a new endgame that's why. They want to eliminate any possibility of rebuilding under Hamas.

It's making an impression with a lot of those the left used to count on reflexively without paying attention to their actual needs as human beings.

It's standard partisan politics. They have to oppose whatever the other side is doing. Cooperation and bipartisanship is largely a thing of the past.

That really distresses me.....I mean I blame both of them for that frankly. Is it really true that we can't move forward unless there is some kind of internal war taking place? Working together for the benefit of everyone is now considered being a traitor?

Gullible much?

Nearly 40% of the federal contracts that President Donald Trump’s administration claims to have canceled as part of its signature cost-cutting program aren’t expected to save the government any money, the administration’s own data shows.

The Department of Government Efficiency, run by Trump adviser Elon Musk, published an updated list Monday of nearly 2,300 contracts that agencies terminated in recent weeks across the federal government. Data published on DOGE’s “Wall of Receipts” shows that more than one-third of the contract cancellations, 794 in all, are expected to yield no savings.

That’s usually because the total value of the contracts has already been fully obligated, which means the government has a legal requirement to spend the funds for the goods or services it purchased and in many cases has already done so.

Hmm that's kind of mathematically strange.

Contracts cannot be enacted until money flows.
So a cut contract means that money will not flow to that contract.
Money that doesn't flow is in effect SAVED from expenditure.
Unless the contract that was cut costs more to ignore than it does to enact....which is
highly unlikely.

Every once in a while Klobachar comes up with something that sounds reasonable or moderate and then she immediately redeems herself as being a diehard lefty liberal.
