When 'interleaving' fails in your box of tissues don't reach in to pull a tissue out as this can tear and enlarge the slit in the thin plastic membrane that holds up the next tissue. Instead, quickly turn the box upside down, wet a finger or two and pull a new tissue out without damaging the plastic slit.

And when the box is about empty and you have to dig out one just turn the box in it's end and the rest will dispense as normal once it's started.
