If investors are panicking over Russia causing the ruble to drop, they are panicking in the US too. So far, for all of obama's taking his valuable vacation time to try to persuade EU partners to see it his way, he's failing big time. He's been unable to convince even Britian to go along with him.

While it would be possible to bring American energy to Europe, that would take increased energy production here and king obama is unwilling to do that. Part of obama's problem is that he has proved to be so unreliable and so untrustworthy that no one believes him anymore. Russia has already solidified its hold on Crimea, that won't be undone. The only loser is obama, and by extension, democrats.
