"Today, Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin signed HB 254 into law, protecting free speech at the commonwealth’s public colleges and universities by granting students the “broadest possible latitude to speak, write, listen, challenge, learn, and discuss any issue.”

New law gives Kentucky college students ‘broadest possible latitude’ for free speech - FIRE

Trump is pushing the country in the right direction yet again. Here's an article whining about Trump's Executive Order that enforces free speech being "unconstitutional". In the last two weeks, Trump has been building the Wall, preventing the EPA from strangling nuclear power plants with red tape, and now he is protecting free speech. Again, so much winning.

Why only the “public universities “? They don’t want pro abortionists speaking at the Jesus colleges ?

Nothing but ridiculous political theater.

Public colleges and universities have always been subject to First Amendment case law.

‘The bill requires institutions to maintain “a marketplace of ideas where the free exchange of ideas is not suppressed” and explicitly prohibits the use of restrictive free speech zones.’ ibid

Nonsense.

The First Amendment allows government to enact time, place, and manner restrictions which are content neutral, pursuant to ensuring public safety.
