Stumpf from Milwaukee rescued three wounded soldiers near Duc Pho, Vietnam in 1967, making three trips under heavy enemy gunfire to carry them to cover.

I just cant see coming out of today's military too many who would reach that pinnacle of military achievements. They would be taking selfies of themselves while surrendering to the taliban.

May he RIP. He and all who earned that Honor, deserve it. Interesting factoid - the Command Sergeant Major usually only has to salute the battalion commander but if a soldier is wearing THAT ribbon, he has to salute that soldier, even if he's a Private.

Our military is in the process of being weakened by political leaders, no doubt. This particular incident wasn't due to cowardice though. They were following orders when they were captured. Under their ROE, they could not engage.

More MOH's have been awarded in the last 20 years than in any 20 year period prior.

Heroism and selflessness really aren't dependent on however the military is being politicized at any given point in time.

My worry is for the future with all this woke bullshit working it's way into the military.

Back in my day, it was fight till you die. Because to surrender was going to be worse than death. Shame they dont teach that anymore.

I know the reason why they were captured, because the brown turd Obammy didnt want a conflict with Iran, because then the Iran Gets Nuke Deal would get harder. If i was the commander of that gun boat, every weapon would of been used against those camel jockeys and they would of turn tail and ran, because Arabs run from conflict.

I know a guy who is a Vietnam war CMOH recipient.
He told me that all the medal recipients really dislike it when people say they "earned" or a "winner" of the medal.
