Because while Democrats held the White House, there was a court order sealing the files. They couldn't release them, not without breaking the law. And Democrats don't break the law.

There's no court order now. It's expired, done with.

Now, essentially every Democrat wants them released, complete and unredacted.

I don't think it was Kirk but rather Fuentes and Loomer and Kirks shooter that wanted the files released.
