Camila Thorndike called fossil fuel industry a 'death cult' that weaponizes 'white supremacy'

The Harris-Walz campaign's climate engagement director has a long history of demonizing fossil fuels, going as far as to accuse oil and gas workers of committing "ecoterrorism" and advancing "individualism, white supremacy + toxic patriarchy," a Washington Free Beacon review found.

During an August 2022 podcast interview, Camila Thorndike—who worked at green energy advocacy firm Rewiring America before she joined Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign last month—called on "anyone who is in the fossil fuel sector to consider putting their talents elsewhere" and stop "continuing to cook the planet." It was far from Thorndike's first broadside on the industry's workers. Months earlier, in May 2022, she accused the oil and gas industry of "ecoterrorism." And in March 2021, she called on her followers to "overcome" the "individualism, white supremacy + toxic patriarchy" that oil and gas companies "weaponize."

While Thorndike's past comments reflect the views of left-wing climate activists, they stand in contrast to the more moderate approach Harris has taken on energy in the final weeks before the election—particularly in Pennsylvania, the crucial swing state home to tens of thousands of oil and gas workers. They also shed light on the kind of personnel who could staff up a potential Harris administration.

Thorndike, who did not respond to a request for comment, has dubbed oil and gas companies "evil" because they routinely turn a sizable profit.

Yeah Harris/Walz are the extreme fringe of the extreme fringe.
They can try to hide it.
They are not normal.

Well, that will certainly endear them to the working man. :laughing0301:
The Castration Cartel

These spoiled and bossy weaklings want to take the "man" out of working man. All masculine images, such as muscle cars, threaten the cock-choppers' goal of emasculating American males. Pacification Through Pansification.

She needs detox from drinking too much blue kool aid.

Has anybody else noticed that virtually every thread in 'Politics' that gets moved or, more likely, shut down is a pro-conservative or anti-dim thread?

I sez to myself, "Self, that has GOT to be a coinky-dink. Our moderators are above reproach." :auiqs.jpg:

Just a small example of the radicals a kneepads regime will be staffed with. We can't let that bitch win!

I was here when they first appointed him. I warned against it.

But, let's face it. Who wants to moderate a Political Forum? Seriously. Think about what kind of person it would take.

What burns my ass (other than a flame about 'yay' high) is the stupidity of the DISGUSTING FILTH and the people that run these things.

I go to a 'news' site to read something and they do everything they can to prevent me from doing so.

It's like, "WHAT KIND OF STUPID ARE YOU?"

Same thing here. Long story but people shouldn't wonder why the media and all its relatives are failing. Badly

I used to be a moderator on a different site.

It can be a challenge.

These fucking feminist idiots. Has this stupid broad ever visited a well?

It would be nice if this treasonous bitch was asked some basic climate questions by the media, but even the "conservative" media won't, because they are ALL in on it...

1. Why does one Earth polar circle have 9+ times the ice of the other?
2. Why is there ice age glacier south of Arctic Circle on Greenland but no such ice age glacier north of Arctic Circle on Alaska?
3. If the oceans are "warming" why is the record decade for canes still the 1940s?
4. If the oceans are "rising" why can't we see one single photo of land sinking?
5. How did Co2 thaw North America and freeze Greenland at the same time?

You were a moderator? You must have been let go for being too fair.

To dims, being 'fair' is a 45 degree tilt to the left. To them, "Fair"-fair is bias. The only fair they understand is total control.

I didn't get to finish my point yesterday which was/is that Media outlets get paid by advertisers based on views. Just like Newspapers get paid on subscribership and TV Stations and Networks get paid based on viewership numbers.

So, it amazes me that the people that run the internet version of information gathering and distribution should make it difficult to view them. Why? Why would they do that?

They would rather run off a million people just to get 1,000 people signed up? People who won't stay anyway. They'll sign up for a little while, lose interest and leave.

The few that get away with it are niche players like the WSJ. They offer specialty coverage that few others care to participate in. And even the WSJ is losing money.

Jeff Bezos spent Hundreds of millions to have the WaPo as his personal blog. And it keeps costing him more and more each year --

All of the runway Bezos gave the Post did not produce sustained profitability. The Post was at one point reportedly on track to lose about $100 million in 2023; after more than 200 staff buyouts and other drastic cost-cutting measures, it ended the year with a $77 million loss.

There are, undeniably, more conservatives on this Board than there are leftists but the Board Jedi tilt decidedly tot the left. And they're not afraid to show it. Often.

Sometimes the Board leftists put up more posts than our resident Conservatives but we all know why. Or should know. Think Twitter pre-Elon.

I don't know why our Board Jedi lean so far left unless the owners are so wealthy they can afford to throw money around like Bezos does. In fact, I predict that, after the election, many of the Board Conservatives will leave, not to return until the next election.

Whatever. Just wanted to say it. Don't think it will matter to anyone other than me.

I don't disagree.

That site went out of business when the parent company pulled funding.

Is she pissed that they just discovered one of the biggest deposits of lithium in the world in Arkansas...down there with the fossil fuels?
A Peek at Peak Oil and Similar Lies

We live above a massive chemical factory. All compounds imaginable are down there, all the way to the Earth's core. None of them could be produced by any industry up here, which would have to produce them with impossible quantities of heat and pressure.

All "rare" elements are present in abundance down there. We have to start drilling into this neglected gold mine. Silence the Zero-Growth Gurus.

Liberalism Gets the Women Men Don't Want

"Oh, that's icky! All those sweaty men getting dirty. Why can't they act like nice guys wearing suitcoats?"
In today's world, if you give modern college women the choice between a healthy, intelligent, good-looking 20 year old athletic male and a fat, ugly 40 year old lawyer. The women will choose the lawyer every time.

Reverse it and the men will choose the 20 year-old woman. Every time.

Somebody want to 'splain that to me?
