His early claim that no NFL team would hire him was a lie - The Dolphins GM publicly disproved his claim by announcing they had offered him a 1 year deal for over $1 million for him to prove he could still play after his time away from the NFL. KAEPERNICK TURNED IT DOWN & CONTINUED TO CLAIM NO TEAM WOULD SIGN HIM.
