They offered the first white woman presidential candidate (Hillary) and the first biracial woman candidate (Kamala)? They did that and you're trying to argue that putting Pete on the ticket is a bridge too far? I do think that voters did have a role in why Pete wasn't chosen, but it's democrat voters that they're thinking about. How many black voters wouldn't have voted for Kamala in 2024 if she had a gay VP on the ticket? I'm sure that calculation was considered.

Personally, she should've chose Shapiro. She needed PA and he would've been a lot for formidable against Vance than Walz.
