Justin Trudeau considering resignation as cabinet left in chaos over Trump tariffs

I'm sure TRUMP's offer is still on the table Canada...
Let me negotiate with Trump. I can speak his language. I'm basically American anyways, even my fellow Canadians know this.

We should have become more like America decades ago, we destroyed our potential, our civil liberties, our capitalism, all to appease the Security Industrial Complex and the unaccountable centralized system and caste it protected.

What a travesty.

Gemany's Prime Minister also is on the outs as well.

No one wants to meet up and negotiate with Trump because he has dirt on ALL of them. Not a good place to bargain anything to begin with.

And they don't want the embarrassment of capitulating what they should have been doing all along.
.

I love the fact that Trump simply OWNS all of the pedos and it's going to be delightful to watch them all dance on the hot griddle.

Funny, haven’t we been told over and over that President Trump is a “toddler” by our lefty friends here?

Wouldn’t a super smart progressive guy like Justin be able to easily manipulate and control Trump, just by complementing him or something?

There are many Canadians not very happy with Premier Ford of Ontario coming out with a stupid threat that "we will cut off energy to America if they hit us with a tariff". Not a wise approach in my opinion.

This is where a more intelligent person would have the P.M convey this to Trump, you don't air this publicly and make Trump lose face with threats that will only encourage him to make it worse for Canada. Do it quietly behind closed doors, reach out to American constituents, reach out to the W.H. It's like sports, the coach doesn't air the dirty laundry in public.

I think it's clear that Trump does not like threats, especially one that is so bold. These people aren't too smart IMO. You do it behind the doors quietly, instead you call him out.

My family moved out from London, Ontario way back in the 60's and eventually ended up in California. The writing was on the wall according to my parents .. back then.

Yeah, better advice would be not to make a threat you can't back up.

Justin Trudeau reportedly told his cabinet that he is considering prorogation or resignation, sources told CTV News.

The Canadian prime minister is slated to address Parliament about the matter this afternoon.

Trudeau, 52, has been in power since 2015 and has nearly a year until the next election will be held in October 2025.

However, the Liberal Party leader has seen his popularity drop after a series of political and personal scandals.

Now, the Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre is likely poised to take power.

The latest poll from Ipsos released in September found that about two-thirds (67%) of Canadians disapprove of Trudea's leadership, which is a 4-point jump from June.

Here's a live link to the goings-on of the snow people.....Maybe someone can make heads or tails of it.

They sound slightly annoyed. ;)

Meh, who cares? Canada decided they hated us what, 20-30 years ago? Too bad for them, I guess. Not our problem

Trudeau's birthday is December 25. I think it is fair to say that by the time Christmas has come and gone he will at least still technically be PM for that occasion.

Your politicians house on Capitalism. Insert a picture of your home because the rich own it now. They also own your government. Now you are just a renter. That's what happened here isn't it? In 2008 you all lost your homes and the rich bought them. Then they doubled the rent. Now you rent your home for double what your mortgage was.

So, be a good sock and complain to someone who can do something about it.

Oh you don't believe billionaires and corporations running our government is a good idea and it won't work out well? I agree. You said fake news so that must mean I have you all wrong. You're not that dumb.
