My focus has always been China. Trump has always promised global tariffs of 10-20%. He also promised 60% for China which makes sense. If China treats Trump like a sucker for 4 years, he will ultimately be sending millions of people to their deaths, in the short term or long term.

If he said that "we need Canada to create oversight for violations of their Charter and be aligned with America on civil liberties and freedom". The man would become an instant legend in Canada and elsewhere and few would disagree, even in America.

I know he doesn't have that in him unfortunately as he is transactional. Reagan might have if he were around today and understood the state of our police apparatuses. If Trump did find that gear though, man he would be a hero to so many as it would force Canada to uphold civil liberties.
