How much more of President Joe's wonderful "recovery" can you stand?

US Producer Price Inflation Eases to Still-High 8.5%

"Inflation at the wholesale level rose 8.5% in September from a year earlier, its third straight decline though it is still at a painfully high level.

Wednesday’s report from the Labor Department also showed that the producer price index — which measures price changes before they reach the consumer — rose 0.4% in September from August, after two months of declines.
The September monthly increase was larger than expected and was pushed higher by a big increase in hotel room costs. Food costs also rose in September from August, after a slight drop the previous month.
Stubbornly-high inflation is draining Americans' bank accounts, frustrating small businesses and raising alarm bells at the Federal Reserve. It is also causing political headaches for President Joe Biden and congressional Democrats, most of whom will face voters in mid-term elections in less than a month."

Back pocket issues are the main reason why elections turn out the way they do....

War frustrations not withstanding.

But commodities are on the rise and will remain high as long as diesel fuel remains high. Diesel is the fuel for transportation and creation of raw commodities. You can play with electric tractors and cargo ships all you want...but diesel is how its done...and with sustained higher prices for diesel fuel food and most other basic materials must rise in costs.

Gasoline may Currently be lower in cost than diesel...but that is strictly a supply issue and not a an unsolvable problem. Once upon a time diesel fuel was much cheaper than gasoline. Currently it's about 50% higher in cost. Also with the engines requiring DEF transportation costs are extremely high.

Coupled with "the great resignation " of the American worker...wages being artificially low simply aren't going to get the job done anymore. Jobs pay what they should pay or else they aren't going to get done.

Corporate profits WERE high because of labor savings...now they are struggling to produce products even if they have standing orders for goods. Even the government is not immune to labor shortages. From postal workers to police officers and all the many paper pushers...there simply isn't enough labor available for the government to function as well as it should. Which further delays construction projects, courts, and etc.

Democrats doing what they do. Hurting the American poor while pretending to care about them. Will the scam work again this November?
