Jussie Smollett’s conviction tossed by Illinois Supreme Court on technicality

Being intolerant of their supposed intolerance. And cheering on government to do your dirty work. Pathetic.

We have the 1st amendment for a reason, and PA laws can't override that. You don't lose free exercise automatically just because you want to sell something.

No, it's called drawing lines, which is what laws are supposed to do, aided by the courts.

We have the first amendment to PROTECT us from Religious assholes, not to let the Religious assholes run amok.

Why do we need the courts to draw lines when the people already did as much. If you don't like public accommodation laws, go to the legislature and get them repealed.

Asking not to bake a cake for one event isn't running amok. And the amendment was specifically to protect religion and free speech from the government, not for the government to be able to hammer religious people. Talk about a misreading of an amendment, worse than your misreading of the 2nd.

PA laws apply to actual PA's, not some contracted item that can be done by someone else.

No one was hammering religious people. The fine was against the business, not the Kleins as people.

Your business cannot have a religion. In fact, most companies have "No proselyting" rules for that one employee who wants to tell everyone about Jesus. .

That's a bullshit distinction. It was thier business

Please show me in the constitution where free exercise is removed when you try to sell something.

yes, what he did was wrong.

Spending millions to prosecute him for what was essentially a prank was silly.

I'm glad our State Supreme Court showed some common sense.
It was a technicality you moron.

Except you have no evidence of his intent.

All the evidence points to him trying to raise his national profile so his studio would offer him more money to star in "Empire".

He easily fooled you and the rest of the low-IQ mob, including your leader:

Their business has to operate under the same laws as everyone else. Everyone else would have had the good business sense to not insult their customers.

Please point out to me how a business can have a religion.

If you could go back to the original incident, I was one of the first people who questioned it. (But that's because I live here and knew how improbable it sounded.)

So your complaint about Harris is that she showed compassion and concern for someone? That explains much.

And all laws have to follow the Constitution.

Please show me where people lose their rights automatically when they run a business.

These are almost always privately owned businesses, not a publicly traded corporation. They are extensions of the people that own them.

You both got easily conned by the most ludicrous story ever told.

You actually believed this guy was accosted at 3 in the fucking morning on a freezing cold night in Chicago by a couple of "MAGA guys" who tried to lynch him on a public street? You and Kamala heard that story and said "Yup, sounds likely to me". You're both fucking morons.

This ain't Hollywood where an unarmed person can take on a guy with a shotgun.
So you're saying he should have complied with the kidnappers. And it's his fault the rest happened.

Not stand his ground and defend himself.

Wow.

How right wingers suddenly flip flop, in situations that appear "black and white" ;)

You must be one of those putzes that thinks OJ didn't do it.
You must be one of those Trumpanzees who think Donald is innocent, because he wasn't convicted. And even innocent if he was.

Better find a mirror, pal. Whine to that guy.

I think the whole thing against Trump is lawfare.

I know it failed spectacularly and blew up in your faces.
