Well, no, it really wasn't. He made a false complaint that the police immediately guessed was false. (And so did anyone who lived in Chicago. We know there aren't MAGA thugs hanging out at 1 PM on a freezing night.)
It just wasn't a big deal.
Well, we've already established you aren't very bright. A white Hispanic is someone from a Latin-American country with European roots. Zimmerman's father was German, and his mother was Peruvian and of European stock.
I've always felt "Hispanic" was an artificial racial designation. It can be used to describe Europeans, Native Americans, Africans, or any mixture thereof. Part of the problem is Latin America really never had the racial segregation the US has, so the races intermixed more freely. It most definitely describes a culture, but at what point does the culture disappear? If you speak only English, and you don't practice any of the cultural things, are you really still "Hispanic"?
I worked with this gal once named Diaz. Her parents were from Cuba, and she was blonde and European-looking. She spoke no Spanish. Should she count as Hispanic?
It wasn't a 7-year-old picture; it was a five-year-old one. Maybe it was the only one the family had.
