If Smollett and his lawyer sues the city of Chicago, all of that evidence that was just SEALED so no one can find out why Smollett was going to be hammered for more than a dozen Felonies gets UN-sealed!
Emmanuel and the Head of the Chicago Police were livid about being blind-sided by this sudden dropping of charges and Smollett walking. They were even more pissed at his immediate declarations by Smollett of how the Chicago Police had been incompetent and had failed to prove their case. They want very much to legally / figuratively 'rip' Smollett's 'head off' and to 'defecate down his neck'. Emmanuel is even looking into the possibility of suing Smollett for the cost of the investigation into his faux hate crime!
If Smollett and his lawyer are smart, they will RUN, not walk, away from Chicago with this GIFT / miracle 'win'.

I'm not so sure that stupid wench would want to do this. It would open up the entire sealed file to scrutiny. This is an empty threat that will end poorly for Smolette and his attorneys. If they are stupid enough to do this then they get what they get..

Pea deals are public information. He didn't make any plea deal.

When they say that they have dropped the charges. They had dropped the original charges. But has given him new charges that calls for a lighter sentence. They are just playing mind games on the public. And they don'tb have to tell the public nothing. That if they believe that exposing the new charges, that it will cause rioting. Hillary and the rest of them are lawyers. And they knows how to play the system. They were hoping that Pres.Trump to make a statement or tweet about it.
