She led a vibrant life, and was far more complex than the goodie two shoes Mom figure she played on TV. She was a bit of a rock groupie and was rumored to party with Duane and Gregg Alman. She was also very involved with NASA among other things. A life well lived RIP.

Good ol' June. Easily the most well-known and recognized character on Lost In Space when it aired, her just coming fresh off of Lassie, she was the least utilized, even less utilized than 'Judy Robinson.' A victim of 60s sexism, June never had a single episode written centered around her or even featuring her, she remained the forever background character who merely popped up occasionally cooking and cleaning and doing the housework of the Family Robinson while others sought out danger and adventure.

But you are right Mike, despite being one of the last alive from the Golden Age of Hollywood having a film career spanning 90 years, June was a heavy rock-head. She knew all about every band, the musicians and music, and once during the filming of Lost and Space, she took Will and Penny (Bill Mumy and Angie Cartwright) to Planet Hollywood to hear and meet the Allman Brothers.

Just think, had you played your cards right, you might have gone to an LA club years ago to see Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin and turned to your side only to see June standing right beside you getting down, head-banging, huffing steamboats off some big joint and dropping acid while doing lines of blow before going backstage with all of the boys for some hot and heavy...
