My idea of a cure that Democrats refuse to promote is start in 1st grade to correctly educate children that goals, planning, timelines to reach goals is the correct path out of poverty. Think and grow rich should be a vital book for kids to study. It has to be a bottom up solution guided by Republican teachers. Democrats have for decades fallen down on the job of educating children correctly.

For the small kids, it does not have to be difficult at all. Age appropriate teaching is good enough.

I was raised dirt poor. I made the decision of living within my means and worked hard. I fought my way up from poverty to a comfortable middle-class retirement. I could have done better financially if I had been willing to prioritize work over quality of life, but I balanced the two to the point of refusing a promotion to management that would have meant working twenty or so hours of unpaid overtime a week. I stayed a technician and worked overtime at my discretion.
