Judge Blocks Most of Iowa Banning Some School Libaries LGBTQ Books and Discussion LGBTQ+Issues.

No, it was about censoring reading material written by and or for transgender children. Books by LGBTQ authors were being banned. Your response is very much over the top. LGBTQ childen should have access to reading material that is affirming in nature, I know MAGA hates the very idea LGBTQ even existing. There is no shame in being LGBTQ. Nor should children be shamed for their sexual identity. Sexual Identity occurs at an early age. Letting LGBTQ children having postitive role models is imortant to them

The suicide rate among LGBTQ children is very high. I speak from experience, my younger sister killed herserlf when she was 14-Years Old and a Lesbian.
No such thing as transgender children. This is child abuse. You fuckers are sick.

People Norm need their hate. They need to blame someone, anyone for their life time of failure. They see an easily identifable enemy and heap their hate on to them. It change the fact they are still failures, always has been and will be failures. Like thesong says "Haters gonna hate....hate....hate."

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — A federal judge on Friday temporarily blocked key parts of an Iowa law that bans some books from school libraries and forbids teachers from raising LGBTQ+ issues.

Judge Stephen Locher’s preliminary injunction halts enforcement of the law, which was set to take effect Jan. 1 but already had resulted in the removal of hundreds of books from Iowa schools.

The law, which the Republican-led Legislature and GOP Gov. Kim Reynolds approved early in 2023, bans books depicting sex acts from school libraries and classrooms and forbids teachers from raising gender identity and sexual orientation issues with students through the sixth grade. Locher blocked enforcement of those two provisions.
Great news

Because the Federal government has some actual authority to demand what is in the school curricula of a State?

Censorship is plain wrong. There are school chsiildren who LGTBQ and they have a right to read books that can give them a positive reinforcement.

They are minors. That is not for a school to decide, it's for parents to decide at home. Parents decide if they read books depicting gay sex or men pretending to be women are to be seen by children.

And gender affirming care? Again, that is not for a school to decide.

School for children exists to teach them how to maintain order, to learn to work with and around others, to learn math and science and reading and writing, and to have things like sports and music and woodshop. School is to prepare children to be smart, capable people and be ready for the real world.

Books about gay sex, helping them be a tranny and teaching them nonsense that doesn't do anything to make them smart or capable belongs in a school.
