Despite clear differences between Obama and Netanyahu, US support for and cooperation with Israel continues at ever increasing levels (much to the displeasure of the anti-Israel/anti-Jew cabal here).
The exercise is in support of Israel's newest and most sophisticated DEFENSE system that could render much of their enemy's attack equipment useless:

“The purpose of this exercise is to improve interoperability of our air defense forces and our combined ability to defend against air and missile attack,” said Lt. Gen. Timothy Ray, U.S 3rd Air Force commander.
“And just as important,” Ray said, “it signals our resolve to support Israel and strive for peace in the Middle East.”
