Every one of those people were hyped as great administrators yet failed in their assigned duties, especially those with military backgrounds. They are all could have beens who underperformed or went off their assigned duties. Most generals cannot handle politics.

It is truly sad that the most important job on the planet is not being pursued by educated, talented people who have a strong sense of economics and a balanced worldview.

It happens so often that I have to believe it's not an accident.

The minimum requirements for that job should include a master's degree in economics,
A BA in political science and several minor degrees in human services related fields.

The pay should be several million dollars a year or more in order to attract truly talented people.

The candidates should all be vetted according to experience in the private sector showing a good record of financial success, balance and a willingness to reinvest.

For the most important job on the planet I don't think that's too much to ask.

Instead we continually get a parade of monkeys who are nothing more than political figurines dedicated to the empty show of appealing to base human instincts.
