What can you say about the Great Secretariat.......73 was a good year

LOLOL...........See any horses behind at the finish line...lolol

My favorite thoroughbred was Doctor of Medicine, who won the $2000 Claiming race at a mile and 70 years at Mountaineer Park in 1989.

No one thought he could do it, and he went off at 17 to 1.

Fortunately, I had him to win as well as on my exacta ticket. Tremendous victory, outstanding horse. Without a doubt, the most exciting race in history.

John Henry lived to 32, dying of kidney disease. Old as hell for a horse

Breeding wise he was trailer trash. But with his will of iron and angry ornery vindictive ways made him one of the greatest

Got to see him at Del Mar once....got a tour in the back (friend's cousin worked back there)....great racer but warned to not get within range of his teeth....he was very mean.

I was a stable boy for about 10 work horses when I was a kid for a couple years. Now work horses are the lowest of lowest social order. And they know it too. Smart son of a guns. They are superior at a vindictive tail swipe. Bite your damned fingers off. Kick you, bump you. God that was so much fun.

A whole stable of John Henrys

boy this not cussing is getting tougher by the day

Ya know what. I suck at gambling and I've never made a horse bet in my life. Instead of spending 100 dollars at the casino, I'd rather take 100 singles and throw them out the window at rush hour
