Joe Schwarz goes down in flames

Joe Schwarz, a liberal Republican from Michigan, lost his primary yesterday. Freakin' awesome. The Club for Growth, an anti-pork organization I belong to, was one of the main groups leading the charge against Schwarz. The victor, Tim Walberg, is a Pat Toomey-type Republican: tough on pork, socially conservative. Just as Lieberman's victory moved the Dems further left, this moves the GOP (thankfully) further right.

Great news! Maybe this signals people have had enough of liberal republicans and that the party will be shifting back to the right.
