I notice the folks that attack McCarthy seem to keep throwing out his personal problems. Most often alcoholism and drug abuse stem from depression and anxiety. This does not however, discount the supreme intelligence and danger which McCarthy foresaw for the nation. If anything, this impending national disease of collectivism that was eating at the heart of the nation, which he found himself powerless to stop, compelled him to self-medicate his own disease/depression. That forum members would make fun of and dismiss him for that sickness is disgusting, and they are putting their heads in the sand.
I will admit, McCarthy DID do some damage to several innocent folks just for having different political points of view, this is unacceptable. There is nothing wrong with being able to hold whatever political opinion one wishes to hold as an individual, this is America. It does however become a problem when our nation's universities and institution's become infected with unAmerican ideals.
THIS is what he came close to uncovering, and hence why the establishment felt the need to destroy him. It has always been the story when a politician goes against the establishment's agenda.
This Is War!
In that same year, 1954, the same globalist and communist forces combined in identical manner to destroy Senator Joseph McCarthy (R-Wis.). Anthony Lukas, writing for the New York Times, a CFR stronghold and one of McCarthy’s harshest critics, noted that “as McCarthy bulled ahead it became clear that his real target was the Eastern Establishment, which had run the nation’s foreign policy for decades.” Lukas observed that although “McCarthy never explicitly attacked” the CFR, nevertheless, “many of those he denounced were or had been Council members.”
It was this fear that McCarthy might publicly connect the dots between communists and the globalists that sent the CFR brain trust into full panic mode and sealed the senator’s fate. Their unrelenting demonization of McCarthy has served as an effective deterrent; no congressional efforts to expose the funding of subversion (and perversion) by the tax-exempt foundations has taken place in the nearly three-quarters of a century since the Reece-McCarthy era. Since that time the number of foundations and the size of their subversive grant-making have seen a manifold increase. With remarkable consistency, many of the largest of these foundations have been using their vast resources to fund groups, institutions, and individuals that apply simultaneous pressure from above and below to undermine Christian society and our constitutional order, with the aim of replacing it with a totalitarian “New World Order.”
Foundations: Cutting Off the Toxic Funding Flow
LOL... McCarthy was a complete loser. He blatantly lied about his war record, he was a massive drunk and a morphine addict.
I have known lots of drunks. The harder they drink, the weaker they are...they have not got the guts to face life or to stop...so they keep drinking.
That is bad enough. But his addiction to morphine PLUS being a drunk proves that he was INCREDIBLY weak. Only the weakest of people are addicted to both booze and drugs at the same time...let alone for most/much of their lives. Throw in his lying about his war record...he is a complete and total loser. A nobody desperate for attention and power.
The Supreme Court slammed down almost all the nonsense he and his kind tried to make law.
And the VAST majority of the people convicted during his term of various communist crap were clearly and obviously TOTALLY innocent.
His fellow politicians finally figured out and tired of his patheticness and censured him. The public - after seeing him on tv for the first time continuously during his attacks on the Army - saw what a looneytune he was...and rejected him.
He was a nothing. A liar, a drunk, a drug addict, a bully, a fool and a disgrace to America.
Anyone who thinks this guy was a great American must be either incredibly ignorant and/or mentally/emotionally defective...with paranoia instead of honor.
You McCarthy-lovers are utterly hilarious, utterly sad and utterly laughed at by - IMO - the majority of Americans.
