The violence of segregationists advanced the cause if the civil rights movement. The black ghetto riots from 1964 to 1968 enabled the election of Richard Nixon and ended the New Deal Coalition that had dominated the United States since 1933.

Black ghetto riots must never be rewarded. Blacks have nothing to complain about. Whites have legitimate complaints about the high rate of black crime, affirmative action, and the cost of supporting black illegitimate children on welfare.
