He can articulate his points in a simple and precise way that can relate to the average every day American. For these reasons, Joe Biden's team cannot prep for debates with Trump, and Trump's style and unorthodox debate tactics make it an extremely risky proposition for Joe Biden to appear with Trump on the same stage. The only way Biden will debate Trump is if his numbers start falling as a result of his lack of appearances, which changes the cost / risk / benefit equation for Biden. Also, considering his lack of appearances, Biden's physical and mental health is a big question mark and a big dark cloud over his campaign, which could be the main reason for his lack of appearances.
