I read that and wondered why they said that as well.A "month long" high? Wtf does that mean?Bidenomics working as planned.
Jobless Claims Rise Unexpectedly Amid Labor Shortage
First-time unemployment claims surprisingly rose to a month-long high as the U.S. economy faces an ongoing labor shortage under the Biden administration.freebeacon.com
However - that doesn't negate the loud and clear point - we had a high jobless claims number at the same time we are also experiencing a record high job OPENINGS.
Bringing obvious light on the major problem of these ridiculous generous unemployment benefits. In my state, after the extended-extended covid windfall benefit, with the usual unemployment benefit - a person in effect is getting paid the same as a $12/hr full time job.
Very little incentive there to go get a job. Even if it pays more than that.
