Jimmy Carter's Solar Farm

our farm had a deep well
the pump was 300 horse power
it pumped 2790 gallons a minute
A solar farm wouldn't even begin to touch that.

Oh c'mon you slacker.. Think of the fun you could have cleaning 3 inches of new snow off of 10 acres of solar panels so you get back to the house to MAKE COFFEE !!!!!

Solar panels are never horizontal. In michigan they're set at a 41 degree angle. Never seen a solar panel with snow on it

So snow doesn't accumulate on rooftops??? Here's how well it works in Germany in the winter.. Probably shouldn't be much solar in most of Germany....

ANY even thin layer of dust, pollen or snow will easily drop your output 25% or more.. Accumulated bird poop and hail damage included..

Solar panels are never horizontal.

They are in Singapore.

Singapore receives very little snow however.

Funny story. In 1910, when Malaya (including present day Malaysia and Singapore) was still a British colony, the main railway station was built in the capitol, Kuala Lumpur.

The station roof was designed with onion shaped domes and minarets in the Islamic-style.

However, British Rail regulations required every train station roof to be able to maintain the weight of three feet of snow. Despite the fact that Kuala Lumpur is nearly equatorial, it took ten years for British Railway to grant an exemption from the regulation so the train station could open.

10 acres of solar panels provides about 1/2 of the energy needs in the City of Plains, Georgia.

Less than 800 people live in Plains.

How many acres of solar panels would it take to provide the energy needs for the whole country? How about the whole world?
Jimmy Carter built a solar farm in his hometown and it now powers half of the entire city

You would need to clear cut forest, plow over farms and cover the area of Australia in order to power the US..for a few hours in the daylight.

BTW Jimmy Carter didnt build it. A company receiving government subsidies has leased 10 acres at "market rates" from Carter...who also reaps a tax break...and then sold the power to Georgia Power after the legislature ordered it to buy it rather than use cheaper natural gas.

With enough laws and taxes they could conceivably power the entire 800 population metropolis of Plains with solar while enriching Carter even more! What are they waiting on?

Jimmy Carter is a beautiful person, an incredibly passionate and loving man. He dedicated his life to helping the needy. He's a great role model for how to "walk the walk".

BUT-

He was a HORRID President. A total failure. A total loser of a POTUS.

He's a terrible carpenter. All those houses he built for the poor ended up leaning way to the left.
