The black and hispanic vote would've been out in force in the 70s. I don't think they were as mobilized or arrogant as today, but seeing a black man in the White House would've got them off their butts to the voting booth.

Also, there was still a big anti-Vietnam feeling around the USA in the 70s, so many white voters might've given the black man another shot instead of letting the GOP take over the White House with Nixon still lingering out there.

Our economy sucks today and Obamination is responsible for taking us to record level debt, but he is getting a second chance.....because he is black.
