It is almost three weeks that I have been holding my tongue, submitting to the hagiography of the peanut man..
Here is the true legacy of Jimmy Carter. To see where Jimmy fits in, pay special attention to #5.

First post is to set the history in perspctive of where Carter belongs:

Let's review:

1. The Democrats are, and have always been, the party of slavery, segregation, and second-class citizenship, the party that stood in schoolhouse doors to block black school children….until Republicans sent in the 101st airborne

2. It is the party of Jefferson Davis, the KKK, Planned Parenthood, concentration camps for American citizens, and restrictions on free speech.

3. It is the party of Mao ornaments on the White House Christmas tree, and of James Hodgkinson, and of Communist Bernie Sanders, of pretend genders.

4. The Democrat Party is the oldest racist organization in America, the trail of tears, the author of Jim Crow and the bigotry of low expectations, filibustered against women getting the vote and killed every anti-lynching bill to get to Congress

5. The Democrat Party is the number one funder of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran….to the tune of $100 billion to the Ayatollahs….and gave Hezbollah the go-ahead to sell cocaine in America.

6. It is the party of anti-Semitism and Louis Farrakhan, and of the first Cabinet member ever to be held in contempt of Congress.

7. It is the party that admits its future depends on flooding the country with illegal aliens, and telling them to vote.

8. It is the party that couldn't suck up to the Castro Brothers enough, and treats the Bill of Rights like a Chinese menu..

9. The Democrats got us into the Civil War…Jefferson Davis .... Woodrow Wilson, WWI….FDR, WWII……Truman, Korean War….VietNam, JFK and LBJ…..yet they want to weaken our military.

10. The Democrats are the party that looks at the mayhem their gun laws have produced in Chicago, ……and this is their model for the nation.

Tomorrow, January 16, and anniverary we can attribute to Carter.

January 16th, 1979 The Shah fled Iran following mass demonstrations protesting his rule. Sixteen days later, Ayatollah Khomeini, a radical Islamic cleric returned from France and seized control. By August the judiciary decreed it illegal to criticize Islam and Iran’s spiritual leaders. About 500 so-called counter-revolutionaries and officials of the former regime had been executed. The shah was asked to leave the US on December 5, 1979, and died in Cairo July 27, 1980.

"After Carter’s election, Ebrahim Yazdi, one of the Ayatollah Khomeini’s supporters urged him to “begin to think of the ‘new possibilities’ that the expected rift between Tehran and Washington might offer.” Yazdi, an Iranian-born American citizen, wrote to him in Iraq that “the shah’s friends in Washington are out. … It is time to act.” Circumstances dictated that “having picked Khomeini to overthrow the shah, Carter and the French had to get him out of Iraq, clothe him with respectability, and set him up in Paris,” wrote Amir Taheri in “Nest of Spies.”

CIA memoranda regarding Khomeini seem to have either been deliberately ignored by the Carter administration or lost in the great governmental paperwork shuffle. One memo flatly stated, “Khomeini is determined to overthrow the shah and is unlikely to accept compromise. … He has cooperated in the past with Islamic terrorist groups.”

Carter viewed Khomeini as a religious holy man in a grass-roots revolution rather than the founding father of modern terrorism. U.N. Ambassador Andrew Young said, “Khomeini will eventually be hailed as a saint.” Iran Ambassador William Sullivan, said, “Khomeini is a Gandhi-like figure.” Adviser James Bill proclaimed in a Newsweek interview in 1979 that Khomeini was not a mad mujahid, but a man of “impeccable integrity and honesty.”

Lubrani later told me Carter was to blame, to some extent, for the current state of affairs in Iran.

Liberal Democrat Jimmy Carter apparently believes evil really does not exist. Terrorist organizations are simply human rights movements; people are basically good; and America should embrace the perpetrators while castigating the victims.

Jimmy Carter is among the number clamoring to change the worldview of terrorists from mass murderers of the innocent to “insurgents” or “liberation movements.” He is quick to indict the U.S. at every opportunity and to champion the downtrodden suicide bombers as “martyrs.”"

You weren't alive when Carter was president. Shut up.
Dear God in heaven!! Did IQ2 just complete a thought conveyed in a complete sentence?

Naturally, the thought is pure idiocy, but still, at least maybe there is some progress.

It is almost three weeks that I have been holding my tongue, submitting to the hagiography of the peanut man..
I haven't heard much praise about his presidency. Was he a cunning con man or just a useful idiot?

There is never any praise of Jimmy for being President, other than saying he was a "good" man after he left office, whatever that means.

That speaks volumes.

"hagiography" Nice $3 dollar word from 1821, I was not familiar with. Had to look it up. Your OP thread post was more concerned with your dislikes for Democrats in general than President Carter, but well written, as usual.
Here are some other words and terms for word salad from 1821. Looks like a good year for new word and phrases.

Off topic response. Please don’t use yellow font. It’s difficult to see on a white background.

On topic response:

President Peanuts was a shitty President who later earned a better reputation as a human being — outside of his Democrap Parody political blather.

You weren't alive when Carter was president. Shut up.
1. Why is your and every Democrat slave's first knee-jerk response to criticism, to censor, yell "shut up!"

2. Let's take a giant leap into the unknown and pretend you are a sentient adult: is anything wrote incorrect? Please document any disagreement, as I do.
Your silence will be proof that I am 100% accurate, correct and true.

Thank you.

I haven't heard much praise about his presidency. Was he a cunning con man or just a useful idiot?
What I plan to highlight is that Jimmy Carter and the Democrats gave the world the world's worst state sponsor of terrorism, Iran.

I appreciate the honesty. Education is always my goal.

"..your dislikes for Democrats...."
Rather my love of America and the dislike is for the Democrat attempts to destroy my country.
Did you find even a single one of the ten items to be untrue?

"...but well written, as usual.:
You have disarmed (charmed?) me. Thank you.

Thank you. Is there another color that would be more compatible?

Off topic note: please try to bowdlerize posts.

.....in one more stunning example of naïveté and poor judgement, Democrat Jimmy Carter installed the blood thirsty Khomeini in place of the Shah.

"When the Iranian revolution came to power, with the help of Democratic President Jimmy Carter, the Ayatollah Khomeini killed more human beings (about twenty thousand) in two weeks than had been killed by the Shah during his entire thirty-eight years. Khomeini followed this by sending hundreds of thousands of Iranians to die in the Iran-Iraq war, as martyrdom was needed to resurrect the Islamic Empire."
Paul Berman, “Terror and Liberalism,” p. 108

Placing Carter, correctly, in the Democrat firmament, notice how inseparable murder is from Democrat practice is.

PoliticalChic, I agree with many of your points, but some of your points are either overblown or inaccurate, and you are ignoring (1) all the conflicts Carter had with the liberal wing of his party and (2) all the good things Carter did in terms of massive deregulation, expanding oil and natural gas production, limiting the growth of federal spending, blocking pork-barrel spending proposed by his fellow Democrats, etc., etc. Recall, too, that Carter tried to push through a middle-income tax cut.

The Jimmy Carter of 1980 would be a pariah in today's Democratic Party.

The thread is specific as to Carter and the Democrat Party giving terrorist Iran to the world.

Carter gave us Iran.

Khomeini and his allies in Iran actually reached out to the Americans, to whom he promised a) to hold the country together, calming the unrest, b) to keep the communists out, and c) to keep the oil flowing. That’s all Carter had to hear! Carter then intercedes with the Iranian military on behalf of Khomeini and in opposition to Bakhtiar, and that the US would not support any coup in favor of the Shah. In 1991, Bakhtiar was assassinated.

a. Carter believed that Khomeini would support democracy, contrary to all that he had written while in exile. In over 110 interviews he gave in Paris in the three months prior to re-entering Iran, he never mentioned the rule of the ‘juriscouncil,’ the clerical guardianship, i.e., the regime in control currently. He promised that he would retire to a life of study, and “…leave all powers to the people.”

b. The first constitution that was written was democratic! Khomeini flew to Iran in February, ’79. Within weeks he began to marginalize democracy forces. Soon a new constitution was written with the rule of the guardians at its center. November 4, of ’79 was the attack on the US embassy and taking of the hostages for 444 days.

Dr. Abbas Milani is he Director of the Iranian Studies Program at Stanford University. His recent book is “The Shah,” is based on ten years studying the archives of the United States and of Britain. The following is from his recent lecture on that subject.

all the good things Carter did
Like unilaterally abrogating our defense treaty with Taiwan (ROC)? How about his "racetrack" idea for mobile ICBMs running around in the desert? On the other hand, he did straighten out the White House tennis schedule.
