Showing an astounding ignorance of American history and the core principles of the American Revolution, Senator Tim Kaine recently declared that the idea that our rights from God is "extremely troubling." I guess he has not read President F. Kennedy's inaugural address:
Senator Kaine may also want to review the Declaration of Independence, which says man's rights come from our "Creator":
It is a sad sign of how radical and un-American the Democratic Party has become that one of its most prominent senators, its VP nominee in 2016, thinks that the core value of the American Revolution-- that our rights come from God, not government--is "extremely troubling."
And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe--the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God. (LINK)
Senator Kaine may also want to review the Declaration of Independence, which says man's rights come from our "Creator":
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
