Historically, there is no such thing as "Palestine." No such sovereign country ever existed in the subject area or elsewhere, prior to 1947.

What other country besides Israel has thrived under such circumstances due primarily to the industriousness of its population? None.

The evacuation of the indigenous Arab population (aka, the "Palestinian Refugees") at the time of Israel's birth was at the urging of other Arab/Muslim countries, not at the insistence of the new government of Israel. The refusal over the past 70 years of other Arab/Muslim countries to welcome them is a sign of the phoniness of their collective complaint. Israel holds a tiny percent of the region and a tiny percent of the natural resources for which the region is known (i.e., Oil), and yet every Arab kid is taught from the time it comes out of the womb that they can never be satisfied until all the Jews are killed or run off, and Israel ceases to exist.
