The Talmud is what is used to teach Rabbis today. They revere it more than the Torah/Tanakh.

Actual scripture scares them because they know the actual law and prophets tell them of a Messiah that matches Jesus. They have to run from that as much as possible. Hence Judaism 2.0 and the Talmud.
