There are so many similarities between the 2 manufactured politicians Barack and JD:

• Troubled Childhoods
• Various name changes
• Mentored by the Jar Shakers
• Khalid al-Mansour had helped Obama get into Harvard.
• Peter Thiel met JD at Yale Law School and got him a job at his newly founded VC firm
• Both became US Senators, Barack by unsealing his opponents divorce record and JD with backing from Thiel
• Both were in the WH
• Neither has an America or Americans first agenda

JD was an adamant anti-Trumper in 2020. He's as much a chameleon as Trump himself; he's an actor like Barack. In short, a perfect replacement if Trumps falls

They are both crafted figureheads, made by different shops, but both made for the same purpose: distract, obfuscate, shuck and jive most of all pretend to care about Americans.

JD has performed admirably since picked to be VP. However, I would be lying if I said I never doubted his sincerity for a moment. He started off in the spotlight pimping his book on CNN. They brought him back on as a guest numerous times when then needed to make it seem that Vance was an authority on white trash for some show segment. The next thing you know, he’s a Republican and running for a Senate seat. Just like Obama, he seemingly came out of nowhere. Thus, OP’s point is a very good one.

What’s the meaning of all this? I do not know. I DO know that there are other GOP members out there who have well-established conservative bona fides, like Marco Rubio, without the sketchy history.

According to accounts in the Bible, God, as the God of Abraham and as Jesus of Nazareth, chose very flawed and imperfect people to accomplish very great things. He didn't choose them for what they had been but for what He knew they could be, what they were capable of doing.

I'm not at all comparing Donald Trump to God, but Trump takes a cue from God when he doesn't judge people by who they once were but by who they have become.

JD wouldn't be the first person to take awhile to understand and jump on the MAGA wagon. Once he did, he hasn't disappointed.

It would be great to find leaders with no baggage. They're pretty darn rare though.

I find neither one palatable, not after Trump. They're just not what the Republican party was when I first signed up... and I'm not the one who changed.

If it helps, I've only ever voted for a Democrat once in a national election and that was over forty years ago, and I regretted soon after...
