JD Vance let's the hate speech fly

So "honor" (or "faithful to the constitution") seems to be something what has no right to exist any longer in the USA. Your "perfect" = "be proud and honorless" remembers me somehow to the slogan of the party army SS of the Nazis: "Our honor is called loyalty". Sad to have to say so.

About what do you "laugh" now, skye? About your grandgrandparents? About your dead soldiers of World War 2 who fought for freedom and not for slavery?

The prename of Himmler had been "Heinrich" (=Henry). This prename was very popular at this time of history - also under Jews.

"You" (= the USA and their allies including Stalin) supported the far left extremist Soviet system of Russia and China during World War 2. The Nazis in Germany under Hitler and the fascists of Italy under Mussolini had been far right extremists and not far left extremists. After world war 2 the allies divided Germany in 4 occupation zones and 2 conquest zones and all German nations/tribes in the East of Europe had been displaced. The conquest zones of Germany had been given to Poland and Russia and Poland had to give territory around the size of the German conquest zone - now part of Poland - to Russia. The Russian occupation zone (called GDR or East-Germany) became a part of the Soviet empire under Stalin - and a big part of Europe (East-Europe) became a part of the Soviet empire under Stalin. The other three occupation zones became West-Germany and since about 35 years West-Germany and East-Germany are reunited.

The political party "AfD" now are definetely far right Nazis and so you fight for the freedom of Nazis. The problem: The freedom of Nazis means the end of the freedom of anyone else. Also the freedom of the new Stalinist Putin means the end of the freedom of anyone else.
Fascism and big government control is similar today at either extreme. Really there have always been shared ideals, the major difference is the communism of Russia which focused on state controlling the means of production.

This is why I agree with Vivek that the GOP can't abandon the far-left suppression of speech only to decide "now that we are in power we are going to enact our own suppression of speech". Trump instead is taking the approach that I believe the vast majority of Americans are (if they understood the characteristics of each ideology), that of libertarianism.

Ultimately Germany, Italy and Russia had many similarities in their central control/police/justice systems and Himmler in fact learned from the Russian policing and NKVD of that time which lead to the developing of the common features of the Gestapo. How closely aligned were these two police forces? There were actually conferences held between the Gestapo and the NKVD at that time.

Italy and Germany were focused on a unique authoritarian which Mussolini in fact, influenced Hitler greatly in regards to being the sole authoritarian, cult of personality. Stalin took this on over time as well.

This always included the power of the state to control of media/censorship, influencing societies opinion. When people did not abide by the states whims, they were imprisoned or worse.

Russia also of course had an iron grip of control once Stalin took root.

As a measure of how extreme nazism was in regards to consequences for speech, I heard a man talk about him and his college friend in Germany attending a trial against one of their teachers who made a general comment that he wasn't sure if Germany of the Allied forces were winning the war at the time when asked by a student, it was an innocuous sentence. That man was sentenced to death and this young man who had once supported the nazis immediately turned his back on their evil.

Censorship and suppression of Free Speech is always a feature of centrally controlled systems by both the far right or left. There is certainly much debate about which on the continuum the nations of WWII stood and it is murky, you are correct in the general left/right allocation of these nations, except you overlook the greater shared values of their central control of speech and citizens opinions.

We are seeing this happening more and more today, first slowly but then with broad acceptance. Covid enforcement probably helped lead to this comfort with government overreach in addition to mass immigration in which governments are bending to their new citizens imported customs/justice rather than that which had been forged domestically over 200 years.

The EU’s aims are laid out in article 3 of the Lisbon Treaty.

Values

The European Union is founded on the following values:

Human dignity

Human dignity is inviolable. It must be respected, protected and constitutes the real basis of fundamental rights.

Freedom
Freedom of movement gives citizens the right to move and reside freely within the Union. Individual freedoms such as respect for private life, freedom of thought, religion, assembly, expression and information are protected by the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.

Democracy
The functioning of the EU is founded on representative democracy. A European citizen automatically enjoys political rights. Every adult EU citizen has the right to stand as a candidate and to vote in elections to the European Parliament. EU citizens have the right to stand as a candidate and to vote in their country of residence, or in their country of origin.

Equality
Equality is about equal rights for all citizens before the law. The principle of equality between women and men underpins all European policies and is the basis for European integration. It applies in all areas. The principle of equal pay for equal work became part of the Treaty of Rome in 1957.

Rule of law
The EU is based on the rule of law. Everything the EU does is founded on treaties, voluntarily and democratically agreed by its EU countries. Law and justice are upheld by an independent judiciary. The EU countries gave final jurisdiction to the European Court of Justice - its judgments have to be respected by all.

Human rights
Human rights are protected by the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. These cover the right to be free from discrimination on the basis of sex, racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation, the right to the protection of your personal data, and the right to get access to justice.

The EU’s values are laid out in article 2 of the Lisbon Treaty and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.

In 2012, the EU was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for advancing the causes of peace, reconciliation, democracy and human rights in Europe.

You are no Nazi and/or Stalinist? How do you describe your political orientation? What are your values? (Asides: ¿Who for heavens sake told you all this absurde nonsense about history?)

You are no Nazi?
What are you going on about with these blatant insults.

I explained what these systems did in their control of censorship and the consequences for citizens for their speech and you ask me such a question?

Perhaps you don't understand these governments and their efforts in their time and how some of it is returning to Europe in the form of censorship originating primarily from the left so far

I have absolutelly not any idea what you try to speak about, stranger. Take your soldiers, leave Europe including the Ukraine.

LOL. I'm Canadian, I don't have any soldiers in this fight.

Parlez vous français? Then inform yourselve in France about Europe.

I somehow got lost
Don't have a plan where I'm going
Standing here with my little suitcase
Here on the Champs-Élysées
Suddenly you speak to me
“Salut, qu'est-ce que vous cherchez?”
I say: “Pardon, I'm sorry
I'm sorry I can't understand you”

[Pre-chorus]
But you keep on talking
I find it somehow charming
And draw two cups of coffee
With a pencil on your hand

[Refrain]
Je ne parle pas français
But please keep talking
Everything you say
Sounds kinda nice
And time just stands still
I wish I could understand you
Je ne parle pas français
But please keep talking

[Post-chorus]
Oh, la-la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la
Oh, la-la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la

[Verse 2]
Your long, wild hair
The little scar on your face
Even the dust on your jeans
Has wit when you speak
The fag tastes like liberté
As long as we both share it
You talk in body language
And I hear between your lines

[Pre-chorus]
I'm hanging on your lips
I don't want to leave here anymore
And you talk and talk
But I don't understand a word

[Refrain]
Je ne parle pas français
But please keep talking
Everything you say
Sounds kind of nice
And time just stands still
I wish I could understand you
Je ne parle pas français
But please keep talking
[Post-chorus]
Oh, la-la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la (Ai-ai-ai)
Oh, la-la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la

[Bridge]
The sun falls behind the houses
Ships pass us by
And all we want
For the moment to last
Around us over a thousand people
They talk to each other
But the language we speak
That only the two of us understand

[Refrain]
Je ne parle pas français
But please keep talking
Everything you say
Sounds kind of nice
And time just stands still
I wish I could understand you
Je ne parle pas français
But please keep talking (Ai-ai-ai)

[Post-chorus]
Oh, la-la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la (Ai-ai-ai)
Oh, la-la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la (Ai-ai-ai)
Oh, la-la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la
Oh, la-la-la-la, la-la-la, la-la

So you don't speak French - and do not really know Canada. What about Spanish and Portugese and your communication with America in general? ¿"America first"?

I speak elementary French. If there is a beautiful French lady in my midst I can speak even better out of necessity.

French is not my primary language. I could probably become conversational within 6 months if someone paid me and I used the old military method of route learning, otherwise, it is a second language which I do better reading and writing than speaking.

You don't believe in any of those values
You're a bent over serf

Blink twice if you're afraid to speak out because you might risk jail
