Furthermore, the language that has been coming of Iran in the last day or so "Iran has taken a major step toward final victory," (Mohammed Bagher Ghaliba) and a reference to a "renewed spirit of resistance" (Sadegh Amoli Larijani) might suggest that Iran will enter talks on its nuclear programme with a renewed confidence. Its negotiators may be unwilling to make compromises on the future of Iran's present stockpile of enriched uranium and if tensions in the Strait have subsided in the next 3 months Mr Trump may find it far more difficult to obtain major concessions from Tehran.
