People in Congress have no sense. Joe Manchin has a real weakness. He is opposed to the legislation for one reason and one reason only, the surtax on those with high incomes. He might pretend he has a problem with the government subsidizing things like daycare and maternity leave. But he has had no problem with the government propping his business up, rather it be legislation requiring power companies to burn his nasty ass coal, legislation giving power companies a break from emissions standards because his coal is so damn nasty, or legislation allowing those same PUBLIC utilities to pay a premium for his nasty ass coal.

Almost all of Joe Manchin's millions of dollars have came from one source. In the late 1980's Joe was a part time state senator with a failing carpet business. Now he has a net worth in excess of eight million dollars and receives over half a million dollars in dividends from that one source, Enersystems. You can research that company if you like, no website, its Google Map listing claims it is closed. It has two employees, and estimated yearly sales at less than Manchin's yearly dividend check. Something really rotten is going on here.

Enersystems sells waste coal, essentially to one source, American Bituminous Power Partners LP, called Ambit. Waste coal, called "gob" in West Virginia, is coal that has a high moisture content, less carbon, and is less volatile. It burns more like wood than coal, with higher levels of smoke and ash. Now here is the kicker. Enersystems has a contract to buy all the waste coal in West Virginia for $16 a ton. Anyone want to take a guess at how much coal is per ton today? Try ten times that much. And there is legislation on the books that require companies to buy that shit AT A FAWKING PREMIUM. In fact, waste coal is considered the same as wind and solar, an "alternative energy source".

So there is the ticket. Attack the burning of waste coal. Most energy experts agree, it is more efficient to take that nasty shit and use it as filler for land reclamation than to burn it to generate power. In so doing, you cut Manchin off at the knees and expose him for the hypocrite that he is.

Protecting which constituents? The poverty rate in West Virginia is 17.8%. The median income is $46,711. He is denying at least 20% of the population Medicaid coverage for women one year after delivery. Specifically targeted to lower infant mortality rates, and West Virginia ranks in the bottom quintile at 8.16 per 100,000 births. Insulin costs are capped at $35 a month under this bill. Joe is denying that to the citizens of West Virginia, which happens, along with Alabama, to have the highest rate of diabetics in the nation. There are college completion grants for students with two year degrees from community colleges. West Virginia has the lowest percentage of the population with a four year degree. He is denying every single family living in poverty in West Virginia $350 in extra food assistance per month during the summer.

I mean in all honesty, it is a spectacular fail when it comes to representing his constituents. He is counting on two things, that the people of West Virginia are too uneducated, to ignorant, and unwilling, to dive into the weeds and actually study the bill. Kind of like you. And second, that the democratic party of West Virginia is both unwilling, and incapable, of broadcasting exactly what I am saying. First, propose a bill that bans the burning of waste coal, like I said, cut this asshole off at the knees. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Then attack him head on for his willingness to throw thousands of West Virginians under the bus to protect his own sweet gig, and collect campaign donations from out-of-state assholes like the Koch brothers to fund his campaign of blowing smoke up the ass of West Virginians.
