Actually, he didn't sell anything to North Korea but he was aware that the purchaser of his goods would subsequently be passed on and sold to NK. So, what exactly is his crime? Enjoying Capitalism at its finest? If NK were languishing in some slump of nourishment, wouldn't the UN begin sending shipments of foodstuff to Pyongyang?

imagine if North Korea became a Democracy or China became a Democracy.

Obviously, his crime is trading with North Korea that seems to be against the US law. Referring to capitalism as a condemnation of this practice is a kindergarten level.

SINGAPORE - A former channel manager at beverage firm Pokka International, who unlawfully supplied nearly $1.3 million worth of drinks to North Korea, was jailed for five weeks on Monday.

Phua Sze Hee, 59, did not earn commission for these sales that took place in 2017 and 2018. However, Pokka International had instituted a monthly sales target of $1.25 million and his unlawful sales had helped him meet it.

A prohibition has been in place since Nov 8, 2017, on all commercially traded goods that are imported, exported, transhipped or brought in transit from or to North Korea, the prosecution said.

Pokka International had instituted a monthly sales target of $1.25 million and unlawful sales to North Korea were made to meet the monthly sales target.
