It's time to call the Delta variant what it is.... and what it isn't.

Masks and vaccines would be great if they work. They don't. It's an airborne respiratory virus. They don't work.

(The vaccine WILL give you protection against severe disease. Not against transmission though)

So, live on. And yes, I have seen my students greatly damaged by Medical Dystopia. So you can shut up about it, really.
You are brainwashed... There is no doubt that both masks and vaccines are effective on many levels. No they aren't 100% full proof, but they are the best we got right now short of full blown Martial Law lock downs. By you saying that they don't work you really show your ignorance.

I have a friend who works in a hospital (True story) who has treated people for blood clots and for GBS due to the vaccines too. Only those are the stories we don't hear about, of course.
Very well aware of the blood clot issues and myocarditis issues with the vaccines. I am aware of this because it has been reported.

I have already conceded that the vaccines DO protect against severe disease. Not against transmission. Some masks actually make things worse, did you know that? Cloth masks. Yes.

All this time we could have been doing things that WOULD HAVE made a difference. But we have a feckless at best, destructive at worst government. So we did ineffective things and then doubled down.

I don't need to look at the "data" I have friends that are nurses who literally work at hospitals and are in the thick of it. I talk to them directly about what is going on. Yes hospital capacities are growing thin, yes younger and younger people are being admitted. At what point does it become "serious" to you? After you get sick and need medical care and can't get because your hospital is over loaded?! You are a selfish ass.
Looking after myself is pretty selfish, eh? Folks like you need someone else to look after them. How very sad and pathetic. It's greedy dependent asshats like you that keep my taxes so high.

And eye problems, and female problems. And on and on and on. That's because the spike proteins were supposed to stay confined in your arm muscle and instead free float through organs and cross the blood/brain barrier.

We only know this because Japan insisted to look at the Pfizer information. Spike proteins in liver, kidneys, ovaries and testes--everywhere.

But sure. the unvaxxed are the crazy ones.

Whats to address you ask?! Well you made the point that COVID is not serious. I argued that when hospital capacities start to fill and it effects availability of medical care that is a serious thing. I pointed to examples where that is actually happening now. Thats what a normal person would address. You opted to dodge it to toss a meaningless insult. Weak.

I didn't say Covid wasn't serious.
The original strain, in the first few months was catastrophically serious.
The Delta strain is much more transmissible, but far less serious.
And how convenient for your point that you HAPPEN to be traveling to the worst county in the country for the virus.
Why the hell you still going then??

Where I live...
The entire state
From July 17th - Aug 3rd (14 days)
1,774 new cases.
14 deaths - Which is the lowest since this whole thing began. (.07%) - 99.93% survival rate.
Back in March 2020... in 14 days 108 people died out of 5,786 cases. (1.8% fatality rate) - 98.2% survival rate.
The county where I live... in the past 14 days... 1 death out of 31 new cases. The person that died was over 80+ years old according to ISDH.

Vaccines did help significantly against transmission for the better part of the year until Delta came into play. A great example of a blown opportunity to control this thing and the stupidity of the "resistance" movement.

If you use a mask correctly it is effective. If we could have united in an effort to beat this thing through masking/distance/and meds then we would be in a much better place. You "resisters" are causing the problems you are resisting to last longer. Don't you see that?

Another dodge. you are a piss poor debater. Do better.

Agreed, the unvaxxed are the crazy ones. Some people with medical conditions should not get vaxed. I'm not dogging on those people, consult your doctor, do whats medically smart. Those resisting for political reasons and out of ignorance are the ones I'm pointing at.

You literally said Covid wasn't serious in your OP, you said it multiple times. And now you say you didn't say it was serious?! WTF, like we can't go see whats written in black and white. Wow.

What it is - is a Covid variant that is more transmissable.
What it isn't - is serious.
This is variant is not a serious virus as the initial virus was. It is made out to be, because...well... panic porn and virtue signaling.
In England....
Their study revealed death is exceedingly rare among vaccinated, and pretty damn rare among unvaccinated.

FOLKS.... this is less fatal than a common flu.

Your so-called argument was unqualified anecdotal nonsense. Exactly how do I argue against your imaginary claims? Make an argument that isn't parroted fearmongering propaganda and perhaps there is something to talk about. You have yet to make a case for anything except that people should do things for the sole purpose of making you less afraid of the scary world.

I have a house in Austin and live there for part of the year. I have to go back to paint and the place ready for its new tenants... not that my reasons for going matter in the least.

My argument is verified. If you don't think that hospitals are filling up then challenge that argument and provide proof to back up your counter argument. See... thats how debate works. Dodging my points to make petty insults does absolutely nothing except show off you stupidity

There has been gross negligence and data manipulation when it comes to this virus from the start. There is virtually no reason to believe any of the claims on face value. You also expect us to take hospitals at their word, even though they have substantial financial motives to maintain the narrative that fills their coffers. How much of the reduced bed numbers are due to their own restrictions as to how and where patients are placed? How much does the risk of malpractice suits play into the overabundance of caution? How many people are put on respirators simply because someone doesn't want to risk a lawsuit, not because it's necessary? All the while you same fearmongers ignore hordes of illegals flooding across our borders with nary a care if they are carrying the Chinese Plague or not. You should be able to see why nobody with a brain can take you hypocrites seriously.

Yeah so... read better.
I said... this VARIANT of Covid is not serious.
I did not say Covid overall wasn't serious. That would be stupid.

Side note... holy cow does the covid dashboard for Austin SUCK. You can't get any statistical data from it, or demographics. Just a broad number

I take people who I am close friends with who work in hospitals at their word. What are you believing? Bullshit fed to you though the media? come on man, you reek of stale talking points and conspiracy theories.

You can look up most hospitals and see how many patients and available ICU beds they have. Are you claiming that they are lying about those numbers? Are you under the impression that rich Ivy League doctors are in the Leftist camp and they are covering for them and risking their careers to be complicit in these lies?? Really think about that

The Variant of COVID is still COVID. And whatever is out there spreading, Delta or not, the hospital numbers are whats important, they are the stats that matter. I agree that the reporting sucks, the posted stats suck and the messaging sucks on many levels. I'd love to rip into those but honestly, I don't want to be anywhere near the camp that is trying to sew distrust and resistance to safety efforts. So I'm OK letting that stuff go for now. I know people who work in Austin hostpitals and I'm getting accounts from them. It is bad... really bad and they have been dealing with this crap for a year and half now.

Do your own research on pediatric hospitals and the delta variant. patients are getting younger and younger as these variants spread. Consider that before you continue with your "its not serious" campaign
