It's time for mandatory vaccination

Agree, they must be excluded as much as possible from polite society.
Start with health care workers - In some states only 40% have vaxed - that is ridiculous.
My mind was completely blown yesterday to find out how many US Olympic athletes were unvaxed.
Why in the hell wouldn't that have been mandatory for ALL athletes? :icon_rolleyes:

You have a mind ?

Dr. Brytney Cobia said Monday that all but one of her COVID patients in Alabama did not receive the vaccine. The vaccinated patient, she said, just needed a little oxygen and is expected to fully recover. Some of the others are dying.

“I’m admitting young healthy people to the hospital with very serious COVID infections,” wrote Cobia, a hospitalist at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, in an emotional Facebook post Sunday. “One of the last things they do before they’re intubated is beg me for the vaccine. I hold their hand and tell them that I’m sorry, but it’s too late.”

“A few days later when I call time of death,” continued Cobia on Facebook, “I hug their family members and I tell them the best way to honor their loved one is to go get vaccinated and encourage everyone they know to do the same.”

“They cry. And they tell me they didn’t know. They thought it was a hoax. They thought it was political. They thought because they had a certain blood type or a certain skin color they wouldn’t get as sick. They thought it was ‘just the flu’. But they were wrong. And they wish they could go back. But they can’t. So they thank me and they go get the vaccine. And I go back to my office, write their death note, and say a small prayer that this loss will save more lives.”

More than 11,400 Alabamians have died of COVID so far, but midway through 2021, caring for COVID patients is a different story than it was in the beginning. Cobia said it’s different mentally and emotionally to care for someone who could have prevented their disease but chose not to.

“You kind of go into it thinking, ‘Okay, I’m not going to feel bad for this person, because they make their own choice,’” Cobia said. “But then you actually see them, you see them face to face, and it really changes your whole perspective, because they’re still just a person that thinks that they made the best decision that they could with the information that they have, and all the misinformation that’s out there.

Yes, we've heard this before.

Appeal to the exception.

Ain't working here.

Know what would be easier? Putting a tattoo on everyone who hasn't been vaccinated. That way they could be identified right away. Considering the grave danger they pose to all life on earth, maybe they should also be put into special areas to keep them away from everyone else. If necessary, we could build some sort of fence all around this area.

How's that sound, you fucking nazi? Scumbag democrats never change.
It makes more sense to do it people who have been vaccinated. It’s easier To add a tattoo than remove one.

There is no evidence to back up your claim of grave danger.

Hyperbole much ?

The grave danger from GMO mRNA vaccine is obvious.
What makes covid deadly is the over active response from the immune system already, so then tinkering with the immune system to increase its sensitivity is a really, really dangerous idea.
Not to mention that since they are not using a dead real virus but a genetically synthesized one instead, the potential for side effects from anything we put into the synthetic vaccine is very high.

Yes, you are just mindlessly stupid.

Looks like Uncle Joe is gonna make vaccination mandatory for all federal employees. Good, he can start with the military. That one should have been done back In February.

Then no more federal education funds for states who refuse to make vaccines mandatory for anyone who works in the public school system.

Ditto with anyone who works in a medical setting including assisted living and nursing homes. Allowing unvaxed nurses and other personnel anywhere NEAR patients and residents is about as stupid as it gets. 40% of these people have been acting irresponsibly.

I'm seeing more and more random noise about the coming surcharges from insurance companies for the unvaccinated.

And this:

This will get the ball rolling on employers mandating vaccination as a condition of continued employment. As it should in a Capitalist economy.

Regardless of whether it's a good idea to get the vaccine, I think it would be a political disaster to go with widespread state mandates. We're not China. People will push back and it will simply spread acrimony. The bottom line is: we need to get over the partisan bickering and come together as a people to beat this. I'm not sure if that's possible.

While you are correct that "We're not China" you overlook that we are, and have been since January, a vassal province of China.

Just like having to prove your age to buy liquor you should have to prove your vaccination before being allowed into any public gathering.
Fuck that. The two are nowhere similar.

How about this: When we start requiring that people show their ID in order to vote, we can start making demands about proving vaccination status. How about that?
