Fact. The republicans did the responsible thing and passed a clean continuing resolution to facilitate keeping the gov't open and allowing for negotiations. Schumer and Jefferies have been throwing a hissy fit and are holding citizens hostage to their unreasonable demands. When SNAP/WIC and later the ACA disappear, never to be considered again, maybe they'll learn that tantrums get nothing accomplished.

It is incumbent on the private sector to provide charity for these folks--not the gov't. The sign of a humanitarian country are the voluntary good deeds of the populace not the taxation of the populace to FORCE these good deeds.
