It's Skynyrd Sunday

It is a shame that this thread has not gained more traction. Lynyrd Skynyrd represented the acme of '70's southern boogie rock, with a plethora of gold albums and sold out shows to show for it. Were it not for the tragic plane crash on October 20, 1977, that claimed the lives of band members Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines and Cassie Gaines, along with 3 others, they may have well gone on to legendary status comparable to likes of the Stones & Beatles.
This one, from their first album, has always been my personal favorite & one that my cover band did, (poorly), back in the day, The "real" Lynyrd Skynyrd with Gimme Three Steps:

Saw parts of recent TV "documentary". Evidently, managment (or lack of) got them killed using them as cash cow......massive touring, crank out bad albums w/2 week deadlines. Coke came in heavy. Members left. Ronnie probably a top 5 song writer. First album was a real classic. 2nd helping too.
