It’s okay to be angry about Bernie Sanders.

Getting interesting. Trump's lickspittles going after a decent guy like Bernie. They're running out of material guys. The whole world knows trump's a piece of shit.

Every social program we have is the result of the economy not being able to meet the basic needs of the people. Can't have a stable economy if you let too many people get hungry and permanently disadvantaged.
There are plenty jobs available most people today want "mental health Monday" "Time off Tuesday's" "No work Wednesday's" etc and they just plain refuse to work some jobs

I started working at 12 in my uncles seafood restaurant, worked construction at 17 then worked at a chemical plant until I joined the military at 20 now I'm retired and make $5500 a month just to wake up everyday

Stop being lazy and excuse finding

when you point out the failures of those you support it's always "derailing a thread".
All I did was post three alternate reviews of his book, I made no comments.

You have no idea who I support or do not support, you are creating straw men in your head now.

You think taking billions from the workers to give to corporations is good?

Oh? Where do you get this? You want to quote me on that?

:dunno:

So things worked out for you? Do you think that's an assurance for a life of labor? If it were there would not be people complaining about the system that destroys jobs without a second thought when things get even a little uncertain.

I asked you a question. You won't answer. Hence, you support it.

In my case the 2008 crash put me out of business and there was no bail-out for me. Had to sell everything I had at a severe loss and go live in a place I hated. I didn't do anything wrong. I had no bad debt. After that I am reluctant to trust capitalism to keep the economy afloat. Getting your face scraped across rock bottom just once is enough. I've built back everything I had and then some but I know for a fact it will happen again.

Right. Not even the "Capitalists" supports Capitalism.
Like every economic structure, there are variables.
Capitalism, as in a FREE MARKET capitalist system, is the sweet spot. The best system we know of that takes into consideration of the many pitfalls of humans.
Now that of course needs regulation. But only regulation that is limited to public safety, and preventing scams, false advertising etc. Today, the American system is full - FULL - of regulations that exist to PREVENT a free market in favor of protecting corporate interest and corporate market control.
So every time anyone complains about capitalism, they are wrong. Flat out wrong. They think what they see today is capitalism, when it is certainly not.

No, all I did was post some reviews in a review thread on Bernie's new book, so that folks didn't have to rely the OP's book review, to have a conversation about this book, which I doubt, anyone has read.

"Spike Magazine is an internet cultural journal which began in 1995, founded by its editor Chris Mitchell in Brighton, England. Updated monthly, its motto is "picking the brains of popular culture", though it has an intellectual inclination."

I happen to know Mindful, her politics are, explicitly in support of Monarchism. I loath monarchism, and in fact, I also believe, corporatism is a not so thinly veiled version of fascism.

But Sanders selling the public that Corporatism IS Capitalism?

All of those other sources I quoted, probably have majority institutional investment corporations, which hold shares in common with the OPs source. There is entirely too much consolidation in our media. Thus there is too much thought control in our population, which leads to unequal distribution of wealth. The problem is not taxes, it isn't the free market, the problem has been the lack of enforcement of the laws we have on the books. The last time the Sherman Anti-Trust Act was meaningfully enforced, was to break up Ma Bell, and they didn't do that for the consumer, they did that for the interests of the Deep State and the future of Silicon Valley. :sigh2:

Sanders is against American values, and against basic economics, which bring prosperity. We have every law we need to solve this, save one, what we need, is to get rid of the corruption, not add in more corruption. Sanders doesn't know shit about economics. One man's utopia is another's dystopia, we have seen this over and over in history.

The single most important law we could pass, is an Amendment for publicly funded campaigns, this would end bureaucratic and judicial corruption. The oligarchs have consolidated too much of the economy.

But we don't have a free market. We now have dirigisme. We have since FDR.

When ever you hear the term, "public-private-partnership?" You should think this;

Sanders, with either his willful failure to understand economics, or purposeful misinformation, is part of the problem, not the solution, IMO.

You know who did get a bailout? Banks and big business that's called Corporatism. Your anger is misplaced

No it isn't. You cannot separate greed and cronyism from capitalism. They walk hand-in-hand because it works for some.

Your derailing it by making it a "but drumpf" thread

This is about Bernie Sanders and his economic policies..socialism vs capitalism

Save your TDS for another thread

You support and vote for Socialism.

The jobs are in Asia.
So that’s the excuse these days as to why leftists have to hand out OPM to people who won’t get jobs? That the jobs are in Asia?!

You people will come up with anything to justifying forming a completely dependent citizenry where working for a living isn’t expected.

All politicians support socialism. I provided examples.

There is NO such thing as free marker capitalism. It does not exist.
