I've heard the 360 will be backwards compatible, but Halo3 will be a 360 game only, not an Xbox game.

When the 360 comes out, the XBox Live system will change. At certain times (weekends, I'm guessing) you will be able to play for free, but you won't gain a rank or be able to join a clan or anything. Doesn't really matter for those of us who already got a 1-year subscription.

Another really cool thing I like about the 360 and PS3 is that the controllers will be all wireless. If you can, check out the specs for the PS3, it's insane. Also, I've heard that the graphics for the PS3 blow the 360 out of the water.
