It simply amazes me how much those who oppose Trump...

.. focus so much on how "nice" or warm and fuzzy he is (or isn't).

I care about policy. The left freaks out over him calling people names, or not being nice. Sure, I'd like a bit more candor, but all-in-all it means minimal in importance.

Trump will be known primarily in his second term for his astronomical success of stopping the invasion of illegal immigrants at the southern border. All the problems this issue was causing are at least being tamed, and hopefully we can push back on the advances of letting in un-vetted, dangerous third world morality to flood into our country.

In all fairness, the border is his first astronomical success. 2026 is sizing up to be a banner year for Americans.

You really think that in history Trump will primarily be known for his succes in stopping an invasion of illegal immigrants?

CHAPTER 1196
"Also in advance of the election, Roger Stone, another outside advisor toPresident Trump, made this statement: I really do suspect it will still be up in the air. When that happens, the key thing to do is to claim victory. Possession is 9/10s of the law. No, we won. **** you, Sorry. Over. We won. You’re wrong. **** you."
On the morning of January 6th, in his speech at the Ellipse, President Trump exhorted his thousands of assembled supporters to march to the U.S. Capitol, explaining that “[w]e have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated, lawfully slated.”

This was no off-the-cuff remark; it was the culmination of a carefully planned scheme many weeks in the making. This plea by the President turned the truth on its head. There was only one legitimate slate of electors from the battleground States of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, and Trump wanted them rejected. This scheme involved lawyers, such as Kenneth Chesebro and Rudy Giuliani, as well as Mark Meadows. It also was aided at key points by Chairwoman of the Republican National Committee Ronna McDaniel, Members of Congress, and Republican leaders across seven States—some of whom did not know exactly what they were being asked to do.

President Trump and his advisors wanted Vice President Pence to disregard real electoral college votes for former Vice President Biden, in favor of these fake competing electoral slates.

I'm not sure what you're trying to point out.

We know that January 6th was completely not what the Democrats and leftist MSM initially claimed it was. They lied about so much of what happened, and it's proven lies based on receipts and video evidence.

January 6th will be known to Democrats as the what the MSM passed off as true, but we now know that it was mostly false.

Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!
Again, the opposite was true. Vice President Pence showed courage on January 6th. The Vice President refused to be intimidated by President Trump’s mob, even as chants of “Hang Mike Pence!” echoed throughout the halls of the U.S. Capitol and a makeshift gallows was constructed on the Capitol grounds.
President Trump and Vice President Pence have both reflected on the events of January 6th in the months since then. Vice President Pence has described President Trump’s demands as “un-American.” President Trump has since insisted that Vice President Pence “could have overturned the Election!” Asked about the calls to hang the Vice President, President Trump said it was “common sense.”

On December 23, 2020, Eastman wrote a two-page memo summarizing ways to ensure that “President Trump is re-elected.” Eastman suggested that Vice President Pence could refuse to count the electoral college votes from seven States: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico, Penn- sylvania, and Wisconsin. According to Eastman, Vice President Pence could simply reject these States’ electoral college votes. At that point, President Trump would have 232 electoral college votes compared to former Vice President Biden’s 222. This was sufficient, in Eastman’s view, to guarantee President Trump’s victory, because he would have a majority of the electoral college votes. “Pence then gavels President Trump as re-elected,” Eastman wrote.

I don't fully agree with all of Trump's rhetoric, but then again, raising the temperature on rhetoric is nothing new in politics.

1. Bernie Sanders called Republicans "murderers" for not supporting his healthcare plan. Shortly after, a rabid Sanders supporter shot up the GOP softball game.

2. Barack Obama called police racist after an altercation, and soon after multiple BLM snipers murdered multiple police officers.

Did you hold them accountable for the violence? No you didn't. Trump also raised the temperature, but he didn't call for people to charge the Capitol building, he even called for peace and respect for the "boys in blue".. but you know this. You're just choosing to ignore it.

Trump tries to subvert the democractic process and that is your response?

Of course I don't hold them responsible for the violence in those scenarios you suggested, that would be retarded.

On the morning of January 6, 2021, Vice President Michael R. Pence gathered his staff to pray. Vice President Pence and his closest advisors knew the day ahead “would be a challenging one.” 1 They asked God for “guidance and wisdom” in the hours to come. No Republican had been more loyal to President Donald J. Trump throughout his turbulent presidency than Vice President Pence. The Vice President rarely, if ever, criticized his boss. But as January 6th approached, President Trump turned on his own Vice President.
President Trump was desperate. The President was searching for a way to stay in power. He had lost the election to former Vice President Biden. He had run out of legal options to overturn the election weeks earlier, when his lawyers lost nearly every court challenge they filed.
On January 4, 2021, President Trump summoned Vice President Pence to a meeting in the Oval Office with John Eastman, a law professor representing President Trump in litigation challenging the election result. Eastman argued, on President Trump’s behalf, that the Vice President could take matters into his own hands during the joint session on January 6th. Eastman offered Vice President Pence two options. First, the Vice President could unilaterally reject the certified electors from several States won by former Vice President Biden, thereby handing the presidency to President Trump. Or, according to Eastman, Vice President Pence could delay the joint session to give State legislatures the opportunity to certify new electors loyal to the President. Eastman admitted, in front of the president, that both options violated the Electoral Count Act of 1887, the statute that sets forth the process for counting and disputing electoral votes during the joint session. Eastman admitted as much in a subsequent conversation with the Vice President’s staff as well. Therefore, President Trump knew, or should have known, that this scheme was illegal.

Vice President Pence rejected President Trump’s demands “many times” on January 4th and in the days that followed. Vice President Pence correctly pointed out that he had no power to take any action other than counting the certified electoral votes

Here's the thing, you'd have to really define what you just said. Because a person stepping in front of the Biden Limo towards the Whitehouse in 2021 would be "subverting the Democratic process"

You're likely going to be completely hyperbolic and dramatic with anything Trump did here. Trump did not order any subversion of the "democratic process"... you just have to connect dots to make it so. The only subversion of the Democratic process I saw was the DNC nominating Kamala Harris without any votes whatsoever from the people she was supposed to represent.

Did you leave the US durn biden's four years or just don't want to remember them?

For many of us -- across the political spectrum -- it's not about politics. It's about sociology. Who and what we are as a society. And the historical parallels that are undeniable by honest people.

But no matter how many times we say it, no matter how simply we try to explain it, it just doesn't sink in. It's not that complicated. So at some point, we just give up trying.

I don't know about other states but Biden did not win Arizona. This state had a serious investigation on Biden's so-called win and found fraud from start to finish. Ad that along with the criminal Maricopa County election officials I will never believe Biden won that election. The January 6 democrat show was just that putting people in jail, some for over a year without trial or even family being allowed to see them was against every word in our Constitution. **** democrats siding with everything morally, and criminally insane just for their hate of Trump while never doing anything but *****.

So if you gave up trying, why do you still seem compelled to post at least 100 responses and messages per day? You are so full of BS it is hilarious.

Well, some of that I can agree with.

I don't want a society in which the spoiled brats and entitled are permitted to enslave the productive.

A corollary to that is that after Biden's 4 disastrous years we find it puzzling how democrats can argue against Trump who is a major success by any measure. CNN showed that democrats are setting records for unpopularity, they are on the 20-side of every 80/20 issue.

Distorting history doesn't straighten out the 4-year Biden disaster.
Democrats have no policies to fix the affordability problem.

Whenever you listen to democraps you have to read between the lines and tease out the propaganda and narrative that is actually intended. This new "It's about us as a society" BS is just another attempt to shame people into not supporting their preferred political choices and to consider the democraps as the party of good. Last year it was "conservatives are all stupid and uneducated" and it got them punished, so now they are trying something softer. But reality tells us the democraps are certainly not the party of good, they are thoroughly corrupt and their sole intent is to get as much power as possible to further their own corruption. They are the party of psychological manipulation that preys on the weak minded and then convince them to propagate their psychological manipulation on those who defy the party. The strong willed don't fall for this BS.

As I understand it, reaction to Orwell's 1984 at the time was generally positive. The feeling was that the world he painted was possible and a reasonable warning, if bleak.

It's human nature for us to be concerned about negative outcomes and to warn each other. But it sure is different when it plays out right in front of us, isn't it? Who really, seriously expected reality to split like it has?
