It's very troubling that victory for half of the nation means abject defeat for the other half. In some ways it makes me wonder if ranked choice voting might be a better way to represent the Nations real predilections and preferences. I was against it at first until I understood how it really worked.

It's not looking good for Harris. People over on social media seem to be soothing themselves by cherry picking demographic data that they think helps their case. But it's all geography, at this point. And Harris seems to be under performing too many key regions in the swing states, compared to Biden in 2020.

I think the most obscene thing I have seen in politics over the past 20 years of the massive multi-million dollar donations flushed down the toilet of political chicanery. Try to imagine what all those millions could do in providing homes for the homeless and services for the needy. It's absolutely disgusting.

Thanks for your thoughtful response. I agree. There's gotta be a better system. The current one cancelles too many of us out and both parties benefit from us being at each other's throats instead of uniting and forcing em to improve it.
