Israel conducts this war conforming to international humanitarian law and to the laws of armed conflict.

Hamas, the (former) governing body in Gaza, has continued to commit crimes against humanity, and war crimes, and acts consistent with genocide perpetrated upon its own people by embedding military objectives in protected places, by failing to enforce a distinction between combatants and civilians, and by actively preventing civilians from evacuation of combat zones and shelter in secure places.
