i've known him since he was the socialist mayor, way before the liberals started ruining our state.

i'l bet everyone hear knows that Trump never said all mexicans are rapists and murderers. and he never said all muslims are terrorists. bernie is so much smarter than that, that's what makes it a lie. and he's done it more than once. bernie uses grandfatherly trust skillfully, but he glosses things over, he's a socialist, and as a vermonter i see right thru his bullshit.

to date i know he's called Trump a pathological liar (with his extensive psychiatric training as a career politician), but he's not said that about himself or hillary. i mean even the sniper fire and benghazi alone would be enough to crucify a republican by now.

here's a video of him saying what i said he did. now we just need to see bernie's version where Trump says what our junior (i love that) senator says he did. when i hear it back through people, that it's bernie gospel, that's socialism.

also, i caught him at a town hall in morrisville saying about global warming change "ok, you've got all the scientists agreeing on one side, and rush limbaugh and a few others on the other".
that's his consensus. another lie.

where does it all end apparently not in Vermont.

You must be the only one who hasn't heard this yet.... here he is:

-- Not only are they "rapists" but some of these "rapists" are "good people". Presumably just 'misunderstood' -- I guess.

And clearly you don't need psychological training to see Rump's pathological lying and Narcissistic Personality Disorder. We can ALL see that.

Taking a fact and distorting it is standard operating procedure in politics, sadly.

I don't "notice" it when someone on "my side" does it, of course. Only those "other guys" do it.

Politicians, politicos, pundits and partisans lie like this with such frequency that it's a wonder we're not in complete anarchy.

Theres nothing surprising at how much bernie hates and despises america.
i don't agree with that LBT, but i think he would much prefer that we be socialist like denmark. the problem is, is that they have no military they live under our freedom tent. and if he's like obama, and thinks that isis is junior varsity, and climate change and the weather are the most imminent threat, then all i can say is WTF bern... ?? how misprioritized and whacky is that.

do you think they're all wonderful people coming over that border ? where do you think the heroin destroying Vermont comes from, all of the many opium fields here in the United States ??

this makes you and bernie pretty dim.

thank you, that's true. public speakers and candidates repeat the spiel many times, so if they hear themselves say it enough....

You don't need the reiteration "all" when you have no qualifier. Without a qualifier, "all" is implicit.
"Good people" for example is qualified by "some of them". Therefore not "all" of them are good people, but "all" of them are "rapists". The logical conclusion is that rapists may or may not be good people. Which doesn't make a lot of sense but that's what he said.

It's simply because Rump is impetuous and doesn't think ahead and really isn't interested in facts as much as stirring emotions. And there lies the real issue.

do you think they're all wonderful people coming over that border ? where do you think the heroin destroying Vermont comes from, all of the many opium fields here in the United States ??

This hadn't started yet when I lived there but I'd guess.. Western Mass... upstate New York... Boston... maybe Montréal? But it's a liiiittle bit of a trek to Mexico.

I don't know what that's got to do with either Rump or Sanders though. Even if opium production has arisen in Mexico -- which says more about the economy there than anything else --- it's not border-jumpers bringing it in their pockets with the goal of running it up to Rutland.

and what colour is the sky in your eutopian socialist bernie world ? cause it's cold, cloudy and super blustery here in vermont today, and my junior senator just became the other black cloud on the horizon.

The definition of implicit refers to something that is suggested or implied but not ever clearly said. An example of implicit is when your wife gives you a dirty look ..
.

why would he say "not you" and "some are good people". you hear what you want to believe, it's become a way of political life.

i didn't see any dirty looks either.

"Colour"?
So you're Canadian?

I didn't live in Burlington (which is a proper name, and thus capitalized) but this would be about 20-25 years ago, and no there was no such epidemic going on. That's far more recent. And it's still got nothing to do with either politician as far as you've presented your topic here. But I do know the lay of the land and it would be a lot easier to bring heroin in from Holyoke than from Juaréz. Or even Montréal --- hell, I've gone from Vermont to Québec in a canoe with no border check whatsoever.

Are you actually suggesting that Bernie Sanders (again, proper name, capitalized) introduced heroin to Burlington??

:eusa_doh:

On to thing three:

[im-plis-it]
adjective
1. implied, rather than expressly stated:
(Big Dic)

Again, it's not qualified. Were he to have qualified it (which would require actually thinking through what one is saying before actually uttering it), he might have said "some of them are rapists". But he didn't. He said "they". The pronoun refers to the people Mexico "sends", as if that nation's government is officially designating and assigning people. That's two fuckups right there, and the third one is that he's basing this on reports that female migrants from Central America, e.g. Honduras, are being raped along their path --- which is hardly the same thing as the Mexican national government assigning official "rapists" to cross the US border.

In short by the time Rump completely mangles the point it bears no resemblance to the real world and is engineered for the sole purpose of fearmongering.

It's the actions that he would take against ordinary americans in order to take their hard earned money and give it to people who aren't willing to work. That's where I see how much he hates and despises america and americans. It's just a matter of perspective.

From your own third link:
>> On Wednesday, Police arrested Richard Bynum during a traffic stop on a federal warrant. Officers found two bundles of heroin and two small bags of cocaine base on him. Officers say Bynum cooperated with police and identified the source of the drugs as two men from Springfield, Massachusetts. <<

I actually had Springfield in mind but posted "Holyoke" for clarity as Vermont also has a Springfield... of course Springfield Mass is the biggest city around there, an easy ride up 91, and again ---- nowhere near Mexico.

From your own Rolling Stone link:

>> The last significant surge in heroin use, in both Vermont and the nation, began in the late Nineties. Matthew Birmingham, the commander of the Vermont Drug Task Force, was working as a road trooper at the time. "An enormous bust for us would be 100 bags," he says, sitting behind his desk at the unit's headquarters in Waterbury, 27 miles east of Burlington. "Today, 5,000 is common. One week last year, we had a 3,000-bag seizure, then another 1,000, then 4,000." >>
--- now what exactly does this have to do with the mayor of Burlington in the 1980s?

From your Manchester story link:

>> The feds say Oct. 5 the heroin left Guatemala boxed and wrapped in cellophane. The next day it arrived in Miami destined for a "Jose Medina" in Manchester. Instead, customs agents discovered it and shipped the heroin to feds in Burlington for further testing. Investigators then repackaged and delivered the drugs to the Manchester restaurant, setting the sting operation in motion. <<
Guatemala to Miami. No "Mexico" involved in the substance.

What about the personnel? It goes on:

>> On Oct. 8, the feds had their eyes on 33-year-old Diego Mejia Paredes. The alleged middleman was waiting in an Audi outside the restaurant for more than an hour. The Guatemalan national here on a visa allegedly arrived in the United States one day before the shipment with instructions to pick up the package. <<
"on a visa". Not jumping a border.

Finally, your NYTimes link, while describing Vermont's addressing of the issue, also notes explosions in heroin cases in Middlesex County Massahusetts, and in Maine -- neither of which are related to either Bernie Sanders or Donald Rump.
