  • In 2025, a peer-reviewed analysis in The Lancet estimated there were 64,260 deaths from traumatic injuries between October 2023 and June 2024, indicating the GHM may have undercounted this category of deaths. Given that the Trump Plan - really an outline for a possible plan - is aimed at making Arab/Muslim countries feel more comfortable about joining the Abraham Accords and not at ending the conflict in Gaza, it is not surprising that Hamas is not interested in it.
